About Nectar AI Review
An independent, type-led review desk covering AI-companion software — starting with a deep, honest look at Nectar AI.
What we do
We test AI-companion products the way a real user would: build characters, run long conversations across both standard and advanced models, generate images, and track exactly what it costs. Then we write it up plainly — strengths and the parts that'll annoy you.
Our method
Hands-on first
Every score comes from real usage, not press kits. We pay for our own subscriptions and credits.
Verified facts only
We report features and pricing as observed, flag A/B-tested ranges, and tell you to confirm live numbers.
Honest scoring
Six weighted criteria: customization, modes, images, variety, ease of use, and value once credits are counted.
Reader-supported
Affiliate links fund the work. They never move a score. See our disclosure.
Our standards
Non-negotiable
18+ only. No explicit imagery. No minors. No real-person likeness or deepfakes. All companions are fictional software characters and chrome is kept SFW-leaning and tasteful.
Why "Red Ink"?
The category is a sea of gradient-and-glass dark themes. We went the opposite way on purpose: a flat, high-contrast editorial look — black, a single red accent, and bone — so the writing, not the chrome, does the talking.
The wider network
We also maintain specialist review sites for live video (GoLove), swipe-dating (Swipey), image generation (Promptchan) and memory-led companions (GirlfriendGPT). See alternatives.
Editorial questions or corrections? We welcome them — accuracy matters more than conversions.
